BIO

 

Brad Davis is an oil painter whose work explores the contemporary landscape through direct observation. Working from primarily from life, he paints his paintings focus on places shaped by history, use, and personal experience. Through sustained engagement with specific locations, he examines the ways memory, and change become embedded in the landscape.

Davis received a BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in the collections of the Union League of Philadelphia, Capital One Bank, and FMC Corporation.
